How Custom Orders Are Completed From Start to Finish
Every custom project begins with a conversation about what you’d like created — whether you’re selecting fabric for a child’s outfit or bringing in sentimental clothing to be made into a memory pillow or bear. Measurements are taken when needed, and fabric options are discussed to ensure the finished piece meets your expectations.
Once complete, your item is ready to wear, gift, or display, with secure stitching and clean, finished details. From birthday outfits to keepsakes and themed gifts, each piece is made with care.
Turnaround time depends on the project’s size and detail. Simple items are often completed within a week or two, and premade pieces are available in-store for immediate purchase.
Common Questions Before Placing a Custom Order
What types of custom items can be sewn at this location?
You can order children's outfits, birthday clothing, seasonal skirts and matching sets, memory pillows, memory bears, and custom Seahawks-themed gifts. Premade items are also available for purchase without a custom order.
How much fabric is needed to make a memory pillow or bear?
A memory pillow typically requires a piece of fabric around 18 by 18 inches, while a bear may need slightly more depending on the size. You can bring in a garment and the fabric will be cut to fit the project.
What happens if the fabric provided is too worn or fragile?
If the fabric is too delicate to hold stitching or stuffing, you will be informed before the project begins so you can decide whether to proceed or choose a different material.
When should a custom order be placed before an event?
Custom orders should be placed at least two to three weeks before the event to allow time for sewing, adjustments, and any unforeseen delays. Last-minute requests are more difficult to accommodate.
What if the custom item does not look the way it was expected?
The design and fabric choices are discussed during the initial consultation to ensure the finished item matches your expectations. If changes are needed, they can be addressed before the project is completed.
